Company Brochure GISCON analyzed the existing information centers in Perm, Kaluga and Moscow to examine their compatibility for the development of environmental monitoring systems in Russia. This included a thorough analysis of existing equipments, software and communication networks as well as the skills of the staff. The final report included an overview of the current problems and recommendations so that these centers can efficiently carry out their task of the environmental monitoring of air and water pollution and the management of the huge amount of data holdings.
