GIS Standard and On-the-job Training for Al-Hassa Irrigation and Drainage Authority (HIDA), Saudi Arabia (February 2009 – November 2009)

 

GISCON Solutions was contracted by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations to provide a capacity building program in GIS management to the staff of Al-Hassa Irrigation and Drainage Authority (HIDA), Saudi Arabia.

GISCON Training Center in Hanover has hosted two training sessions for the HIDA staff. After a successful introductory training package in February 2009, an advanced training package was conducted in November 2009 and was focused on expanding the skills and qualification of HIDA GIS staff in the use and application of ArcGIS Geodatabse and Spatial Analyst extension.
